Description

Jai Ekādantā! The Joyful One, the Guardian of Thresholds, the Lord of the Gaṇas. This is the rare “Great” tantric form, with ten arms, a precious pot spilling gems, and his consort Siddhalakṣmī sitting on his left thigh.

Available for pre-order is this standard-size postcard.

Your order helps to support this rare project done for the benefit of fans, scholars, and devotees rather than for profit. This artwork was created for worship: there is no signature on the artwork. A smaller .pdf digital version of the final inked drawing will be made available for FREE to the public.

Extensive research and many preliminary sketches were done. Thanks so much to Max Stetsenko and his friends at Tripura Tallika for initiating this project, doing the scriptural study, and compiling references for me to ensure this image matches the scriptural description (Dhyāna Śloka) exactly. In fact, we were unable to find ANY reference images that were completely accurate to the scripture.

This project has been one of the most challenging I’ve ever accepted. It has been in progress for YEARS. I’ve been chanting Śrī Mahāgaṇapati’s mantra every day since we agreed to start, even before the first drawings were begun. I visited his shrine at the Mookambika temple in South India to ask for this project to be blessed and be a blessing. Thousands of rounds of his mantra were chanted while completing the artwork. I’m so grateful to the Lord of Thresholds for helping me to finally complete this icon.

Thank you so much for supporting my work, a local design studio run by a woman of color by pre-ordering a copy, and enjoying a deep discount.
